Instructions for use – Van Doorn Exclusive Leather Dye
Preparation with Derma Leather Cleaner:
Thoroughly clean the leather with Van Doorn Exclusive Derma Leather Cleaner to remove dirt, grease, and old care products.
Ensure the surface is completely dry and dust-free.
For optimal results, the leather can be lightly sanded with a fine sanding pad to improve adhesion.
Color selection and preparation:
Shake the bottle of leather dye well before use to thoroughly mix the pigments.
Test the color in advance on an inconspicuous piece of leather.
Application:
Apply the leather dye thinly and evenly with a soft sponge, brush, or (professional) spray gun.
Work in multiple thin layers for even coverage; avoid thick layers to prevent cracking.
Intermediate layers and coverage:
Allow each layer to dry for approximately 20–30 minutes before applying a new layer.
Repeat this process until the desired coverage and color intensity are achieved.
Finishing:
After the final coat, allow the leather to dry and cure for at least 24 hours.
